CHOREOGRAPHY
Windham choreographs for both stage and screen. Her work spans a variety of styles and genres and includes not only dance choreography but also stage combat and fight choreography. She commonly draws inspiration from many different artistic forms, primarily incorporating dance and theatre, yet additionally including film, visual arts, and literature in many instances. Accordingly, her dance pieces frequently employ theatrical components: costumes, props, sets, or cinematic technology. A key component of her work is the connection between kinetic interplay and emotional response. Windham examines the reciprocal relationship between an individual’s body and mind: how an individual’s movements relate to, are influenced by, and inform their psychology. Her choreography is highly theatrical, often humorous, and places the human performer at the center of the artistic process and creation.
